It started at home
My mom always said I was meant to live on a farm surrounded by lots of animals. I'm not on a farm yet, but our house is full of amazing four-legged family members: three senior pugs, George, Walter and Mae, and our senior cat, Janey.
After a few years with George and Walter, John and I knew we wanted to adopt a senior dog. Older dogs are so often the last to get picked, and they have the most love left to give.
THEIR STORY
Bea, and then Mae
Bea. In 2019, we adopted Bea, a 12-year-old pug from a rescue in Rhode Island. She had been abandoned in a carrier in a parking lot. We saw her photo on the rescue's website and fell in love. Bea was full of sass and attitude, spunk and resilience, and she made us laugh every single day. Caring for her was one of the most fulfilling things I've done. She lived to be 17, and we miss her very much.
Mae. After Bea passed, we knew we wanted to keep adopting senior dogs. In 2024, we adopted Mae, a 13-year-old pug who had been abandoned in a backyard in California and found roaming the streets. John flew out to bring her home to Massachusetts, and George and Walter welcomed her right in. Like Bea, Mae is full of sass and attitude, and she's a sensitive soul and a sweetie pie too. She's my little shadow, always following me to see what I'm up to.
WHY I GIVE BACK
In Bea's memory, and to keep supporting senior dogs, a portion of every painting I sell goes to senior dog rescue. When you bring home one of my pieces, you're helping an older dog.
It's built into the price of every piece, so there's no extra step for you. Every collector is part of it automatically.
